the night before christmas eve...

.... I am bored out of my mind... I thrive on chaos and lots of people so this Christmas will be a bore for me, that is because we are staying home for Christmas. With 3 kids that are getting older we just felt it wasn't fair to ask them to leave everything every year to travel to see family.. so this is our "year off" as we call it... PLUS we got the kids a puppy.. I know I'm insane so no need to tell me. My OCD tendencies will be in full swing once the puppy is allowed upstairs to live amongst us.

I'm sure I'll have more to say tomorrow.

Loving life...

...at the moment life is grand, Isabella is walking and doing a great job: I so enjoy having a little girl after 2 little boys.

She is so funny, I enjoy & treasure enevry baby milestone, since I know she is our last baby. As I am typing she is at my feet chattering away on her pretened cell phone...

I have no idea how she does them...

... but my friend makes these way too cute hair clippies & bows for little girls..

Now if only Isabella could grow a bit more hair so we could flood Amanda with some business, because all of you who know me well know how much I love Isabella's bows..

Check Amanda's site out, and if you have a friend with a little girl.. pass it along...

A sad day for republicans.....

.... O'h no I wasn't referring to November 4th I was referring to the day that any of us actually thought John McCain could pull off a win. Come on people... How many times has he attempted to run for president? I also have one other opinion as to why we lost one word. well actually 2 ... SARAH PALIN... for goodness sakes my 6 year old would be a better leader than her, he at least can pick out an outfit that doesn't cost more than my mini-van. PALIN in 2012???? I'll change my party affiliation first

Do I think Obama is going to do a goody job?? I'm unsure.. he scares me. he has so little experience, it's sort of like allowing a new beauty school graduate to cut your hair.. UHH I think NOT!! However as an American I will support our president and give him the benefit of the doubt. I think Wall Street & investors have their doubts, considering the large triple digits losses since he was elected. Am I a sore looser b/c my candidate didn't win?? No way.... John McCain was in no way "my candidate."

Living in such close proximity to DC always scares me.. My husband works only 4 miles from the pentagon, and 2 blocks from the white house... What would I ever do if there were another attack. 9/11 was Stan's 2nd day of work in DC. All of the phone lines were jammed, and I had no idea if he was OK, it was 2 of the scariest hours of my life, and I don't want to go through that again, so As long as Obama keeps our homeland safe and fixes our economy he's A OK in my book.

Round & Round they go..

.. They teach her everything (good & bad I will add)

Forgive the "yellow" look it was late at night & we had alll of that unforgiving indoor lighting on.

I love the end when she is waving bye bye & blowing kisses.

The Diva at work...

Isabella has become quite the "little girl" lately. Meaning she talks constantly!!!

She climbed into the laundry basket after I had folded some towels today and was so proud of herself, and me being the video fanatic I have become I had to capture the moment!!

Our weekend of Friends, Family, Fun, & did I mention a party...

Our labor day weekend was so nice.

Saturday:
My Mom came to see the kids & attend Carson's 6th Birthday party. She arrived on Saturday, and the kids were so excited to see her. We visited for a short time, then left to rake Carson b-day gift shopping, and get cupcakes for his party. We were pulling onto the exit ramp, and my phone rings... It's Stan, he needs me to give him a jump..... seriously.... I'm like 20 miles away, so we back track, & turns out it was the started not the battery.... UGH.... So we finally get him to the auto parts store, back to his truck & on our way to Hagerstown, by then we were all starving.. So my Mom treated us to La-Dinner as we called it at the Olive Garden. The boys love eating there... Afterward we took Carson to Toys R Us and he picked out a new bike that my parents got him for his b-day, and of course Mom-maw & Pop-paw had to spoil everyone else & buy them all another toy. Brady got a motorcycle, Bella got a Princess cell=phone (only 14 months old... Lord help us!!!) & Carson got himself a Optimus Prime Voice Changer mask. We made our other stops at Target & Sam's Club, and made our way home. Stan put Carson's bike together & he took it for a quick spins... That night we headed to Spring Mills for some super Yummy ice-cream, at our favorite ice cream stand... yum yum..

Sunday:
Party Day.. We arrived at Jay Dee's Family Fun park at 12:30 to start our party at 1:00 Everyone arrived and we started the party, all of the kids & adults ate our pizza,,, chips, applesauce, ice cream, & cupcakes & then headed outside for all of the fun!!..

We came home & got these 2 videos

Carson riding his bike:

Isabella riding the Gator for the first time "I see a riding toy in her near future"
I have to add Brady DID NOT want to ride with her at all!!!

Monday:

Sadly My Mom had to go home.. After she left My best-friend Heidi came over & we went to our neighbors the Jensen's for a Laid back Labor Day BBQ, we always have fun with them.

What a crazy weekend... Thanks to everyone who took the time out of their holiday weekend to celebrate Carson's b-day with us... We love & cherish you all & hope you all know how much you mean to us, you all show us time 7 time again how much you love us & our kids, Stan & I are truly blessed to have all of you along for the ride...

Much Love.... Jenn

I lost an appendage today...

... In the form of my child. Carson went off to Kindergarten as happy as can be, leaving me at home missing him desperately. He's only been gone 2 hours and it feels like it's been 10....

This video I took of him this morning before we went outside. Notice how he stresses his teachers name. Her name is Mrs. Gainer, and he has called her Mrs. Gator all week, so we've been working on it.

The second video is him getting on the bus. he is the one in a yellow shirt & a royal blue backpack.

I'll let you know what his reaction was when he gets off the bus.

So much to update on

My birthday was earlier this month, and my kids got me a digital picture frame, which from what I hear they picked out.. GOOD JOB GUYS!!! Stan & I got to go on a much needed date and we all went to the county fair.. Good times, I am very lucky to have so many wonderful people who love me.

Carson starts Kindergarten in 8 days & I am far from prepared. Physically we have everything, but emotionally I'm not sure how well I am going to fair when he steps on the bus... cause ya know he refuses to let me take him to school....

Brady had his first dental cleaning last week, and boy was he hilarious.. While sitting in the chair he was so traumatized he was asking for HAPPY (his security stuffed penguin) That Happy is his best pal, even Happy is now wearing underwear b/c he needs to get potty trained too (according to Brady)

Along with starting school Carson starts football practice next week, BOY will that be interesting... His b-day party has been scheduled for Aug 31st at one of the local water park attractions, we had to have it 2 weeks before his birthday because of their scheduling conflicts. I didn't want to have it there, I like parties at home, but Carson begged & pleaded to have it there, so how could I refuse him, he has been hilarious talking about it every day, about how much fun it;s going to be... he is most definitely super excited.

Isabella is pulling up & cruising the furniture but just won't let go. She is definitely exerting her inner self, I have now given her the nickname of "The Diva" boy does she act like one.

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger, I promise to try harder...

Bears can swim...

.. our Brady Bear that is... My parents graciuosly supplied the boys with summer swimming lessons, and they are enjoying them so much. This clip is of Brady this morning, having a blast swimming... Nothing melts this Momma's heart like seeing one of my babies smile from ear to ear & shout with glee. The boys wake up every morning & say "Mommy are we going to swim lessons today?" That telle me they LOVE it!!

8 years down ... a lifetime to go...

Stan & I have been married for 8 years today. I find myself every year reflecting on our wedding day, and the memory that stands out the most is waking up in the hotel with my childhood best friend, Kelly. I went & took a nice long relaxing bubble bath, while Kelly was still sleeping. Afterward I came out of the bathroom & it was time for Kelly to get up & get ready, so I jumped up & down on her bed exclaiming "I'm getting married today!!" I recall being so giddy. I remember why, Stan has always made me so happy, and we can have such a blast with one another. he truly has been my best friend for the past 10 years.

We've had our ups & downs just like any other couple, We've lived at 5 addresses built a new home, been to wonderful vacation destinations, had 3 gorgeous children, and lost a baby along the way. Each of these things has made us the couple we are. We often ask our friends if they think they are more like their spouse or different, I think Stan & I are alike in the ways that count most to us. ...... So to you my dear husband..... Happy Anniversary

"I said to myself when I saw you getting out of the van, She must really want to vote."

..... that's what the gentlemen at the polling place here in Hedgesville told me when I was inside.. He's right you bet I wanted to vote. I have NEVER missed an election since I turned 18. In fact the day I turned 18 I spent an hour of my 18th b-day at the Boone County Courthouse registering to vote. IN the few months leading up to my 18th b-day I researched my party affiliation. My parents well let's be honest my entire family in fact are all registered Democrats. Well the Democratic views weren't really views that I could align myself with. So I registered as a Republican.

When I married into Stan's family I was the only Republican, until my sister-in-law Emmy came along and joined the family, and stood in my corner. Since then Stan has jumped ship, and I am proud to say we are a republican family, Although this election I wish I could've voted for Hillary Clinton, Why you may ask... HELLO Like John McCain is a better choice. I personally wished I could've voted for Mike Huckabee. I did, but obviously that vote will not really count.

Explaining the voting process to my 5 soon to be 6 year old little boy, that was a daunting task. However the kids were good, and had their picture taken outside the polling precinct.

"Do I have to go there where the Eagle lives?"

That's the question Carson asked during Kindergarten Registration...

Why do you ask? Well the mascot is an Eagle, and 3 days earlier the Eagle was at opening ceremonies for T-ball. He & the Chick-Fil-A cow & the State Farm Good neighBEAR were racing, and the Eagle's head fell off IT was comical, and forever etched in the mind of a 5 year old.

So we got Carson registered for Kindergarten, here was a funny conversation

Me: Brady what will you do while Carson is at school all day

Brady: I stay how witch you Mommy

Me: But you will be going to pre-school.

Brady No Carson go to school I stay how witch you & Bella...

The picture above is a Polaroid of Carson with Mother Goose that the school took at Registration...

pizza, friends, & t-ball....

Today was one of those great days, that you don't realize were so great until it's over.. I spent my morning spring cleaning, which was awesome (yes I am a NEAT FREAK) then this sfternoon my friend Sarah & her to muchkins, came to play for a few hours and share som Papa John's yumm yumm then we were off to t-ball. I'll enclose some t-ball pictures... Brady is so different from Carson, Carson isn't shy, just a bit taken back... not Brady he is so friendly & makes friends so easily. He has made a new friend at t-ball named Andy, and they are soo cute togteher, and enjoy one another's company so much that Brady actually looks for his "New friend" as he calls him.. well, off to bed, I'm exhausted..

It is with a heavy heart....

.... & tears in my eyes that I share the sad news that a sweet little fourth grader from our old neighborhood grew her wing and will forever be with our king. This little girl has touched so many of our lives. Alongg with a few of my close friends I organized & held a fundraiser for her back in 2006. Please keep her ifamily in your pareyers, she was quite the little fighter & my kind of girl.. blunt & to the point..

When things like this in life occour it reminds me to focus on what is truly important, I wouldn't care if any of my children were the ugliest kind in school, the worst athlete, or just bad in general. The point is they are healthy, happy, and here for me to love..

I wanna potty....

.... well I don't want him too. I know most parents probably think I am nuts, but my PLAN was to wait until after t-ball season is over & after we return from Boone County in June to potty train him. Welll he has otehr thought in mind. Brady has literally begged to go potty (like Carson does) so we have left him and he has went pretty consitantly only peeing in his pull-up during naps & bedtime... WHY o'h WHY can't he wait??? I wouldn't have imagined he would want to potty train before he is 3
Aboveare picture of him on the potty & flushing his pee pee Bye Bye.

I wanna play t-ball....

That's what we heard while I carried Brady kicking & screaming from the t-ball field on Staurday while Carson attended his first practice. & the picture above is him crying because he wan'ts to play t-ball.

So as you can see Carson started t-ball. We're so proud of him, t-ball is his "thing" You know the thing that each kid is good at. Well baseball is his.. He did a fabulous job hitting and has quite an arm on him, catching is something we're working on, and will need some practice, but he's Left-handed so we're hoping he can possibly pitch when he gets to little league. He was so excited because his 2 neighborhood friends are on his team. My wonderful sister-in-law Emmy went to practice with me to help with Isabella, since I am still having trouble holding her.

my new girls....

are healing quite well. I have been amazed at my recovery process this time around. After 3 c-sections I expected a horrible recovery, but I have been doing so well..

The 3 kids are in Boone County for the week enjoying some spoiling during Spring Break from my Mom. Apparently Bella has become attached to me & is gviing my Mom a rough time. What can I say... The girl has good taste !!!

Stan & I are completely lost without the kids, not saying we want them back mow, but we do miss them..

Happy Easter to everyone.

Much love, Jenn

nerves... the unknown...

So tomorrow is the BIG day my surgery day. I'm nervous, I think in part because if something were to happen to me I have so much more to loose than I would've 5-10 years ago. Which I guess juet reaffairms what I already know, that I love how my life has turned out. I never imagined myslef as a soccer Mom, but that's exactly who I am.. and DAMN proud of it

We're watching American Idol. Amanda was sent home, no big surprise she was different.. and we know what the world thinks about those who are different...

a ton of fuss about a bunny....

My kids LOATHE the Easter bunnySad but O'h so true, and I found out in observing many other children at the mall, that low & behold my kids are not in the minority, most children are terrified of the big fizzy guy.. We saw frineds of ours at the mall & their little girl Evelyn thought he was pretty coool. Now taht just tells you men are buch chickens !!!

We took the kids to eat dinner at Applebee's because Hey Why cook if I can convince Stan to eat out?? We were seated & then less than 5 minutes later rolled in another family that had 2 boys & a little princess just like us, funny thing was their kids were alomst exactly the same ages as ours... how ironic ~~~~

When we arrived home the easter bunny had made his drop at our house, Don't you love how the Easter bunny just knows when you aren't home? The boys couldn't get there baskets open fast enough, and Isabella just wanted to play with the plastic wrap on hers...

1st post

Let's see.... why am I starting this blog?? WELL WHY NOT???? Maybe it will provide some much needed venting on my part... 1st & foremost it's my blog so if I spell something wromg or make a typo, well.. who cares it's MY BLOG !!!

So today I went for my pre-op evaluation for my breast reduction.. My surgery is on the 20th, I'm excited, but mostly nervous about how well my kids will do without me for so many days. I'm sure they'll make do.

It was warm today in the Eastern Panhandle so we played outside, while Stan did some maintence to his lawn equipment, I dispise lawn season. it's so much more work for me, and god knows I will get NO BREAK but I'm getting quite use to that and feel all alone on the rare occasion that I do get a break.. LOL well I'm getting tired how sad, it's not even 8:00
